Vice President for Charter Review
Regina Smith holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University
of Rochester, a Master of Divinity
from Colgate University
and Master of Arts in Education Jewish Theological Seminary. She has completed
course work for the Ph.D. and is currently working on her dissertation.
She has been a Nurse Practitioner for over twenty years. She became a Nurse
Practitioner during the formative years of the role and helped to pioneer the
acceptance and utilization of Nurse Practitioners in the United
States. She is currently employed by the
Health and Hospital Corporation and has previously taught classes in religion,
ancient languages and ancient near eastern history at the graduate school
level.
She has a very active religious life as an ordained minister and is
currently serving as an Associate Pastor at Emmanuel
Baptist Church
in Brooklyn, New York.
She is the mother of three sons, has an avid interest in classical music,
rabbinic literature and health/fitness and wellness issues.
